Career IP builds an evidence-backed understanding of your work from what you choose to share, and turns it into documents you can use.
This page explains exactly what we collect, why, where it lives, who processes it, and the controls you always have. Policy version: 2026-07-22.1.

What we collect, and why

Nothing is collected without a purpose. Using Career IP never requires agreeing to research.
Where your data lives, and who processes it
Your data is stored with Supabase (Singapore region), isolated per person at the database level. Content-free emails are delivered by our email provider. And:
Your text is sent to the Claude API to run the session. Anthropic does not use it to train their models, and deletes it from their systems within up to 30 days. Our own deletion cannot reach that residual copy.
How your package is prepared
Your Career IP package is prepared and delivered automatically — the system builds it from what you share and sends it to you, without a person reviewing it first. In exceptional cases, such as if you contact us about a problem, someone may need to look at your session or package to help. Outside of that, no one routinely reads your content.
Optional research — off unless you say otherwise
Two separate, optional permissions exist: helping improve Career IP (your session records, linked to you, studied internally), and anonymised research publication (your case informing published research after identifying details are removed — only available with the first). Both are off by default, recorded explicitly either way, and withdrawable at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing the first stops future research use immediately and removes what was already collected for research. Findings already published cannot be recalled. Declining either changes nothing about your session.
How long we keep things
Up to 12 months after your package is delivered, then reduced to your final package and statistics that can't identify you. Your downloadable files and download link stay available for 30 days after delivery, then the files are removed. Nothing is stored on our servers until you submit — an in-progress session lives only in your own browser and clears itself after 30 days.
Deletion, export, and what honestly remains
To export everything we hold about you, or permanently delete it — your reflection, any evidence and “One last thing…” response you added, your package, files, research entries, and consent history — just contact us. We also ask our email provider to delete delivery records on request; we don't currently have a verified figure for how long a residual copy might remain on their systems afterward, and any such copy is used only for their own operational and compliance purposes, never for anything related to Career IP. Your data may also remain in our own encrypted backups for a period after deletion, as is standard for backup systems — those backups are never accessed to serve or restore your data except in a genuine disaster-recovery event, and they age out and are purged on their own schedule. What remains afterwards: statistics that were never linked to you, an access log with your identity removed, and an unlinkable record that a deletion happened. Text already processed by Anthropic is deleted by them within 30 days.
Policy changes
If we make a material change — anything that changes meaning, data use, processing scope, recipients, retention, or your rights — we will ask for your consent again before the affected processing continues. Minor wording fixes just appear in the version history below.
Version history

- 2026-07-21.1 — Aligned this page with the automated delivery model: removed the pre-release owner review and the six-month follow-up, and clarified that export, deletion, and research withdrawal are by contacting us.
- 2026-07-22.1 — Retired the Professional Profile: Career IP no longer collects structured career facts. Instead you may optionally share free-text career evidence (the Evidence Box) and an optional “One last thing…” response, which Career IP investigates as evidence, together with your reflection, to help you understand your career.
